a MEGA dashboard, integrating : Facebook, twitter, myspace, orkit, plaxo, linkedin ... with icons and activities posted. From the Skype contact list. Using the RESTFul API. So it gives Skype the ability to 'master' all those networks from 1 board.

Sightspeed comparison
I read with great interest the article:

Now I am searching for "the best" video chat client and pondering if the investment into the supported Logitech cams is worth it. Sightspeed is supposed to support now resolutions of 640x480, too, so I would be very interested in a repetition of the the video chat tests from december 2007 to see if the race got closer, what hardware is needed and so forth.

Provide an implementation of silk in libavcodec for ffmpeg
An open-source implementation of silk would make it easier for developers to add support for the silk codec in their own applications. libavcodec is used by many open source projects such as ffmpeg, mplayer and vlc.

I'd love having the skype status back, thank you :)
I'd love having the skype status back, since I had created an excellent spam list so I was not bothered anymore and I helped me finding lots of useful people :)
Else you could delete unused accounts so that search lists would turn out to be more reliable

Bring back the "contact last seen online" information
Skype 3 and even early 4.0 betas had tooltips when hovering the contact list, showing when the contact has last been seen online (amongst other information). The "last seen online" bit is especially valuable information. You could always include it with the new multi-information box, but please bring it back.
